Rob joined Hamilton in 2005. He is responsible for new business and renewal account sales and service on a national level. Rob’s specialties include all lines Property/Casualty/Workers Comp brokerage for Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities. Rob also has successfully placed programs for Hospitals, Physicians, Surgery Centers, Dialysis, Therapy and Home Healthcare. Further, Rob has done extensive work on distressed healthcare risks including those in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and State Receivership. In 2009, he was selected by Risk & Insurance Magazine as one of their “40 under 40” agents to be featured in their annual “Power Broker” Edition. In 2012 Rob was successful in structuring a Loss Portfolio Transfer and “Tail” Policy for a metropolitan hospital system in the Midwest. With less than one month’s time, and limited markets due to a three month head start by the incumbent and other competing agents, Rob’s program was approved by both the buyers and sellers. The placement cleared the way for the $40,000,000 sale of the institution from private investors to a large public healthcare company.

Prior to joining Hamilton, Rob was a Senior Underwriter with AIG/Lexington Healthcare’s malpractice underwriting unit in Boston MA where he managed a $20,000,000 portfolio of Prof/Gen Liability policies for Long Term Care providers, Organ and Tissue Banks and Hospitals. In 1997 Rob joined the Air National Guard ultimately attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant before being Honorably Discharged in 2003. Rob is a 2002 graduate of the University of Connecticut and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Real Estate Finance and a Concentration in Healthcare Management. He and his wife Kris reside in Avon, CT and have two sons.
