
07 May Hamilton Insurance Welcomes Joseph Zuccari to our Life and Health Division
As Executive Vice President of Hamilton’s Life and Health Division, Joe will manage and grow Hamilton’s employee benefits sector. In addition to his new role, he will remain President and CEO Servarus Systems, a software company he co-founded to streamline employee benefits administration. Having previously served as Hamilton’s COO and CTO, Joe is well versed in the brokerage’s client roster and business ethos. He brings more than 35 years of operational and leadership experience, which includes decades of benefits administration and software technology services expertise.
In his various leadership roles, Joe has provided strategic direction, vision, and operational oversight for various companies ranging from startup ventures to a fortune 50 company. He has held various senior level positions including CIO/Vice President of Business Markets for MCI (now Verizon) and CTO/COO of Actel Communications, a telecom carrier.
At MCI, he spent more than a decade supporting the information technology organization’s large capital budget. He was responsible for all IT and application development as well as a number of new product offerings and implementations.
As part of Actel’s management team, Joe helped raise significant capital to deploy network and software infrastructure across 10 states in the southeast. It was one of the first entities to deploy voice technology on the internet.
During his first Hamilton stint, he was responsible for the brokerage and account management on a diverse set of accounts. Joe was instrumental in establishing and re-engineering the Life and Health operations
Joe holds an MBA in Finance from George Washington University, an accounting degree from West Virginia University and maintains his Life and Health license.
